This is the ultimate green bean dish! I have done green beans several different ways and let me tell you, you can’t beat the perfect bite than when you pair pine nuts and bacon with a warm, crisp green bean. It is one of our favorite side dishes at our home. We make it all the time—seriously. I purposely haven’t made them for the last two months so we would be excited about it again for thanksgiving. I’m actually surprised I haven’t yet put it on the blog because we just love them so much.

These green beans are fast and simple to throw on the skillet and you can even make them ahead for days like holidays where your oven will be preoccupied. If you make it ahead, once your done heating on the skillet just place it in your oven-proof serving dish. Make sure it is covered, you can leave it in the fridge for up to 3 days and then just heat in the oven at 350° for 10 minuets when you’re ready to serve!

Told ya, simple!

Happy Feasting!

What You’ll Need:
1 lb of fresh green beans, ends removed.
1 yellow onion
1/2 lb of bacon (about 5 cooked slices)
1/4 cup pine nuts
3 cloves of garlic,
1/2 tsp garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil

How to Prepare:

Roughly chop your onion. Place in skillet on medium heat. Sauté onions in olive oil until golden brown.

Add in garlic and green beans. Sauté for about 3 minuets or until the green beans are warmed though—just make sure they are still crisp (you can break it in half) so they aren’t over cooked.
Add in bacon and pine nuts. Give a good stir and hen remove from heat.

Even my toddler can’t keep his hands off these. Haha 😂

Serve warm. Enjoy!
