WIC Popsicles

This recipe is coming at a great time. As many of us are facing financial hardships with the pandemic, we have sought help with government assistance. I have dedicated my blog to showing readers ways to save money eating paleo (including yummy WIC Popsicles) and I will do this for even the poorest of the poor. Because we all deserve to live healthy no matter the size of our wallet.

WIC Popsicles

My youngest is 11 months old and this summer has been WARM! We have always been fans of the baby-lead-feeding so jars and purees have never been our thing. However, we get plenty of them from WIC. I’m not about to turn down healthy fruit and veggies so I began to create something our whole family would love!

These popsicles are perfect for littles and its a great way to make use of jars in the summer heat! I love that my toddlers enjoy these too along side our baby. Also bonus: this is an excellent way to sneak in veggies in the baby food puree to give to the toddler in a popsicle!

Brands

We use Beach Nut Naturals Brand. (This is WIC approved.) Seriously, this is the only baby food that actually smells fresh. We. Love. It. I used the Guava, Pear, and Strawberry food jars for this recipe; However, feel free to play around with other flavors!

We choose Old Orchard White Grape Juice for this recipe. This brand and flavor is WIC approved. *Please note: this juice is from concentrate which is technically not paleo compliant. However, you make the call yourself if you are in a financial hardship. (There are other grape juice brands out there that are not from concentrate that would work which would be compliant if that is what you would choose.)

Finally the popsicle mold: They don’t make the kind I currently have. Although this kind from Amazon is pretty close: you can find it HERE.

As always, I’d love to hear how you enjoyed these WIC Popsicles, so don’t forget to come back and let me know your thoughts! What is your fave frozen treat?
