It’s F I A N A L L Y starting to feel like fall over here. When the weather starts to cool down there’s just something inside of me that comes alive and I just have an urge to bake! I think that is one of my favorite family traditions that I’m already enjoying implementing healthily into mine. The weather still has been fickle for us but this afternoon it was still chilly and I felt like treating me and my toddler to a afternoon delight! I love this recipe because the flavors are so delectable you don’t even miss the crust of a “normal” pie. I have absolutely Z E R O self control when it comes to my sweet tooth so this serving size is perfect for me. –But let’s be honest if my hubby was present we would be getting out the large cast iron pan and doubling the recipe (yes, it’s that easy)! I hope you all enjoy this fun, fall treat and can add it to your family’s fall traditions!

Ingredients:
1 Apple
1 Pear
2 Tablespoons of Pure Maple Syrup
1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
Sprinkle Nutmeg, Ginger & Cloves

Preheat oven at 350°
•Smear a little coconut oil on the bottom of the pan for coating
•Thinly and evenly slice apples and pears.
•Layer the apples and pears slightly on top of each other starting on the outside of the pan and working yourself in.
•I like to give the spices an even sprinkle followed by distributing small douses of coconut oil on top.
•Finally drizzle the maple syrup on top!
•Bake for 20 minutes followed by 3 minutes of high heat broiler for extra browning!
