These buns are the real deal! They will hold a giant burger and all its contents, the flavor is fantastic and the best part is the texture is just like a “real” processed flour bun you would buy at the store.
I’m excited to share this with you all because it’s the end of the naked burger or paleo buns that fall apart that can’t hold up to a burger. This is the recipe to make you guys, I promise it will rock your world!
{Yield: This Recipe Makes 5 buns and can easily be doubled!}
What You’ll Need:
4 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp water
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup blanched almond flour
1 tbsp tapioca flour
1 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary
4 cloves crushed garlic
dash of salt and pepper
Sesame seeds for topping
How to Prepare:
- In a small saucepan combine olive oil, water and vinegar over high heat. As soon and the mixture begins to boil remove from heat and add into a blender with almond and tapioca flour and blend.
- After the mixture is completely combined take off the lid the mix should be super thick and you may need to press it down with a spatula. I used the small attachment for my blender but a full blender attachment will work great as well!
- Allow the heat to temperature to cool down before adding in the remaining ingredients so that the the eggs won’t cook in the blender.
- Add in remaining ingredients, blend until mixture is fully combined.
- Pour into silicone molds. I used these: just click HERE. These are from Michaels so you are able to use a coupon so I was able to get them for 60% off during a great sale—save where you can guys! 🙂 You can also use a silicone mold from amazon that will be about the same size, a large muffin pan, etc. This recipe can handle it!
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. *I actually used Trader Joe’s everything seasoning because it’s what I had on hand!
- Bake in the oven at 425° for 20 minuets. (I also place by silicone mold ontop of a baking sheet so that it is sturdy coming in and out of the oven.)
- Enjoy!

I will have to try these! I’ve never tried making buns/bread but this recipe doesn’t seen to be too difficult.

I’m going to have to try making these! I’m love burgers but also feel so crap after eating the buns, so this may be the answer x
Sarah
Do these freeze well? I would love to make a double batch and be able to pull one out as I need it.
Amy
I have not personally tried freezing these. We usually eat them up within one sitting! Ha. But I’d love to hear how it goes if you try it!

These look great! Can you use another pan or option rather than the silicone baking sheet?
Amy
Sure thing! You can always try a muffin pan.
