This smoothie is LOADED with super foods! Its surprisingly tasty (considering just how many veggies are packed in.) And for a huge bonus it comes with plenty of protein to supercharge your day!
This smoothie is flexible. You can make it as sweet as you want by adding another frozen banana half or more dates. The dates are fantastic sweeteners and don’t give you that insulin spike like honey, syrup or even processed sugar would. Which will leave you with plenty of lasting energy! (Also, by using dates this smoothie is Whole30 compliant!) I also use 3 cups of orange juice and one cup of almond milk for my liquid. You can certainly swap these out for another juice, use all orange juice, all almond milk or even replace the almond milk with coconut water. Like I said, this smoothie is flexible and you can make the variations to your preferred taste.
When making this smoothie my only tip is to add all the dates and leafy greens in with half the liquid and blend. Only after these are fully broken down can you add the rest and blend. This will ensure you wont have any chunks or leafs when you take a sip.
The best part is this green smoothie is toddler approved in my house! That is a winner in my book!

Matcha typically has caffeine. So if you're also making this smoothie for kids like I typically do, I recommend pouring in their portion and then adding the matcha for yourself. 🙂

This smoothie is SO packed with amazing nutrients! I’ve never mixed grapes into my smoothies before, but I like it. The kiwi substitution would also be super delicious, I’m sure! Can’t wait to try this out!
